The Dunfanaghy Golf Club is a Ireland Golf Course situated in County Donegal at a length of 5738 it has 18 holes with a medal par of 68. Situated in the town of Dunfanaghy it is one of the Donegal Golf Courses that you may want to play and add to our golf course ratings to see if it will become one of RateYourCourse Republic of Ireland top 100 golf courses.

This course opened for play in 1905 and runs along a three-mile stretch of beach next to a beautiful lagoon on Sheephaven Bay. It is said the game of golf was played here not long after the setting-up of the Old Course at St Andrews and, indeed, the first record game took place in 1896. Six holes have been reconstructed recently and a few minor alterations to the course have taken place in recent weeks, but the gist of Vardon's design hasn't been altered too greatly. In addition to the challenge, there are great views of the Derryveagh Mountain to the south and Horn Head to the north.
