Address Doonbeg Golf Club, LTD, Doonbeg, Co.Clare, Ireland

Welcome to our website, The Doonbeg golf site was designed by two-time British Open Champion Greg Norman. Spanning 1.5 miles of crescent shaped beach and century-old sand dunes, the course offers views across the Atlantic from the green, the fairway, or tee of 16 of the 18 holes.

Designed by the legendary Greg Norman, Doonbeg is rightly considered to be one of the top golf courses in Ireland. It is, in fact, the one and only golf course built in Great Britain or Ireland by the two-time Open champion and it is rumoured that he made 23 visits to the site of this Doughmore Bay-based links during its construction, labelling himself ‘the luckiest designer in the world’ to be creating a course there. It is located around 40 minutes west of Shannon airport and the layout is characterised by mountainous sand dunes and dramatic sea views. Watch out for the magnificent par-3 14th, the signature hole on the course: it is, truly, one of the best short holes in golf.
